SmackDown beats Raw to win the Bragging Rights trophy

Submitted on October 16, 2009 No Comment

The first ever tag team match of Bragging Rights, Team SmackDown came out as the winners when the co captain and the Unified Tag Team Chris Jericho went on pin Kofi Kingston. The tag team to be a turning point for SmackDown, which let the blue team break 1-1 score with Raw and take the trophy as earlier, The Miz had defeated John Morrison. The victory for the tag team came maybe from a very big betrayal as the Unified Tag Team Champion The Big Show had turned his back on his own team by chokeslamming Kofi Kingston and setting him for the pinfall by his partner Jericho and he also turned around on Triple H by a punch on the head.

SmackDown beats Raw

Earlier, the Raw co-captain Triple H had said straight to his team that they have to win tonight, The Game looked like he had everything in place to achieve his goal with everyone one else. On the SmackDown side with the seven men vs the seven men encounter were Finlay, R-Truth, Matt Hardy, The Hart Dynasty and the co captains Kane and Jericho but just two nights before the encounter the structure of the team changed when 5 people of the team were replaced by others and now it was a nine man tag team. With the win, SmackDown has gone down in history as the first to win the Bragging Rights trophy but the controversy around the win asks if they really are all that superior.
